Ground Beef Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Burger Special Sauce
- 1/2 cup light mayo
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 5 teaspoons pickle juice
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Water (to thin sauce as needed)
Burger Bowl Add-ins
- 1 bag tater tots
- Shredded Cheddar cheese
- Diced red onions
- Chopped tomatoes (grape or regular)
- Chopped lettuce
- Diced pickles
- Cook Tater Tots: Preheat your oven and cook the tater tots according to the package instructions until golden and crispy. This usually takes around 20-25 minutes.
- Make the Special Sauce: In a bowl, combine light mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, pickle juice, Cajun seasoning, sugar, and garlic powder. The sauce will be thick at first; add water one tablespoon at a time and mix until you reach your desired consistency. Chill the sauce in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Cook the Ground Beef: While the tots are baking, heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Midway through cooking, add Worcestershire sauce. Increase the heat towards the end to brown the beef crumbles well. Once fully cooked, drain any excess grease.
- Prepare the Fresh Toppings: While the beef cooks, dice the red onion, chop the tomatoes and lettuce, and dice the pickles. Shred the Cheddar cheese if not pre-shredded.
- Assemble the Burger Bowls: In serving bowls, layer the crispy tater tots, seasoned ground beef, and fresh toppings. Drizzle with as much special sauce as you desire. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- You can customize the add-ins to your preference, such as adding jalapeños or avocado.
- Use a leaner ground beef if you want a lower fat option.
- The special sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
- Tater tots can be air-fried as an alternative to baking for extra crispiness.
- For a gluten-free option, ensure your Worcestershire sauce and other condiments are gluten-free.
