A fresh and vibrant Green Goddess Tuna Salad featuring herbed mayonnaise blended with chives, basil, dill, garlic, and lemon juice, mixed with tuna. Perfect for a quick, flavorful sandwich or served with crackers.

Ingredients

Scale

Tuna

  • 2 cans Tuna, rinsed and drained

Green Goddess Mayonnaise

  • 6 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 oz Chives
  • 1 oz Basil Leaves
  • 1.5 tbsp Fresh Dill
  • 2 cloves Garlic or 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • Sea Salt, start with 1/4 tsp and adjust to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Tuna: Rinse and drain your tuna thoroughly in a fine mesh sieve. Press out all excess water by gently squeezing the tuna, then transfer it into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Make Green Goddess Mayonnaise: Add mayonnaise, chives, basil, dill, garlic, and lemon juice into a high-speed blender. Blend until fully incorporated and the mixture turns a vibrant light green. If you don’t have a blender, finely chop the herbs and garlic by hand, then mix them into the mayonnaise along with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to sit if possible, so flavors meld well.
  3. Combine Tuna and Dressing: Pour the herbed mayonnaise over the prepared tuna and stir gently until the tuna is evenly coated with the green goddess dressing.
  4. Serve: Spoon the Green Goddess Tuna Salad onto toasted bread slices or crackers. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for later use.

Notes

  • Using a high-speed blender enhances the texture by fully incorporating the herbs into the mayonnaise, giving the salad a smooth, vibrant green color.
  • If blending is not an option, finely chopping the herbs and letting the salad sit allows the flavors to deepen over time.
  • Adjust salt and pepper seasoning according to your taste preference.
  • This salad is great for meal prep and can be stored for up to 2 days refrigerated.
  • Serve chilled for the best taste experience.
