Ingredients

Scale

Keto Shrimp (No Breading)

  • 1 lb Raw Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • ⅓ cup Almond Flour
  • ⅓ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 1 Egg beaten

Bang Bang Sauce

  • ⅓ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Aminos or Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Shrimp Station: Dry the shrimp thoroughly using a paper towel. In a medium bowl, combine almond flour, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and ground black pepper until evenly mixed. In a separate bowl, beat the egg.
  2. Bread The Shrimp: Dip each piece of shrimp first into the beaten egg, then dredge it in the almond flour and parmesan mixture until fully coated. Repeat with all shrimp pieces.
  3. Fry The Shrimp: Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until shrimp turns pink and is fully cooked. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Assemble Bang Bang Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha, coconut aminos (or soy sauce), garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth and well combined.
  5. Combine Sauce and Shrimp: Either drizzle the bang bang sauce over the cooked shrimp or toss them together to evenly coat. Serve the shrimp over rice, a green salad, or wrapped in lettuce for a light meal.
  6. Air Fryer Instructions (Optional): Pre-grease your Ninja Foodi or air fryer basket with oil. Air fry the coated shrimp at 375°F (190°C) for 5-6 minutes, flip them over, and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes or until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  7. Oven Baked Instructions (Optional): Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a sheet pan. Place coated shrimp on the pan and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until shrimp are pink and fully cooked.

Notes

  • Ensure shrimp are completely dry before breading to help coating adhere better.
  • You can adjust the amount of Sriracha in the sauce to customize the spice level.
  • Using coconut aminos keeps this recipe Paleo-friendly, but soy sauce can be used as a substitute.
  • Serve the shrimp with cauliflower rice or leafy greens for a fully keto-friendly meal.
  • For an even healthier version, try the air fryer or oven-baking methods instead of frying.
